Joy

The word rejoice means to renew our joy. Many of us are fearful on what may be unfolding in the world. How can we be in a state of joy? We can start to focus our thoughts and prayers on joy. We may start to see joy popping up everywhere. If something does bring you joy, don’t give it your time, energy, or attention. The Greek word for joy is chara. It is derived from charts, or grace. It can be described as the natural reaction to the work of God, whether promised or fulfilled. Joy is a choice. When we choose to seek and recognize joy, we become beacons of light to others, spreading hope and positive energy in a world that needs it.
